Ladies Vets Tournament

Bridgwater Tennis Club held a very successful ladies’ vets tournament on Wednesday 6 September. Well done to all those who played in the extreme heat.

14 pairs from various clubs took part, including 4 pairs from Devon, who also enjoyed a delicious ploughman’s lunch and fabulous homemade cakes provided by our lovely ‘Rusty Racquets’ ladies.

A big thank you to all organisers and helpers, to Somerset LTA for donating the balls and prizes, and to Neil Driver from Somerset LTA for coming along to support the event.

Congratulations to the winners Jean Russell & Rachel Apsey (Bridgwater) the runners-up Carole Beach & Anne Bazley (Bridgwater) and to the semi-finalists Alice Yarde & Liz Deem (Taunton/Ilminster) and Clare Gass & Nicky Attwood (Wedmore)
